EcoSteel™ System Adhesive – Part 1 (Tacking Adhesive)

Part 1 is a two-part (A+B) adhesive system designed for initial positioning and tacking of Colorbond® steel coil to acrylic faces. It provides controlled working time and reliable grab, allowing fabricators to accurately align components before final structural bonding.

This stage is critical in the EcoSteel™ process, ensuring the coil is held securely in place while maintaining flexibility for adjustment.

2 Bottles when applied correctly will last approximately 6 months.

Pack includes 2x Bottles Part A, 2x Bottles of Part B

NOTE: Because this is just for tacking, you can use other AB style glues, just ensure the activator is wiped clean. (Only applied in small dots around the perimeter)

Description

Application Role

Part 1 is used for temporary fixation prior to the application of Part 2.

Recommended workflow:

  1. Position and align the coil accurately to the acrylic face, small sections at a time

  2. Apply small, spaced tacks of Part 1 A and then B to cure it instantly, around the perimeter

  3. Allow sufficient set to hold shape and alignment

  4. Proceed with Part 2 for full perimeter structural bonding

This approach ensures clean assembly without premature full bonding.

  • Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of contaminants Clean acrylic and return with isopropanol

Positioning

Part 1 is a process-critical adhesive, not intended for structural bonding on its own. Its role is to enable fast, accurate assembly while setting up the conditions for Part 2 to deliver the final bond strength.
