Description
Application Role
Part 3 is applied after Part 2 has fully cured, acting as a secondary reinforcement layer.
Recommended workflow:
-
Tack components in place using Part 1
-
Apply Part 2 for full perimeter structural bonding and allow to cure
-
Apply Part 3 internally to reinforce and finish the bond
Application Method
-
Apply Part 3 approximately 8mm above the existing bond line on the inside of the coil
-
The adhesive will flow downward under its own weight, forming a smooth, even fillet
-
This process increases the bonded surface area and improves load distribution
The viscosity is specifically tuned to allow controlled flow without excessive run-off, ensuring consistent results.
Key Characteristics
-
High-viscosity, honey-like consistency for controlled application
-
Forms a smooth internal fillet for increased bonding surface
-
Enhances long-term durability and bond reliability
-
Completes the EcoSteel™ adhesive system
Performance Benefits
-
Improved load distribution across the bonded interface
-
Reduces stress concentrations along the initial bond line
-
Provides an additional layer of mechanical and adhesive reinforcement
-
Contributes to overall system longevity in demanding environments
Important Usage Notes
-
Apply only after Part 2 is fully cured
-
Ensure surfaces are clean and free from contaminants prior to application
-
Apply consistently to maintain a uniform internal bead
Positioning
Part 3 is not designed to replace the structural bond—it is a finishing and reinforcement layer that elevates the overall performance of the EcoSteel™ system.
